I have been a member of the Geology Club at LSU since 2017, and now have served as Vice President for one term, and President for two terms. The purpose of this club is to educate the community about the importance of Geosciences and serve the community as advocates for the earth. We go on trips around the Southern United States, and volunteer at events in the Baton Rouge area. Our favorite event is putting on a silent auction with minerals, fossils, and rocks Dr. Barbra Dutrow gets from the Tuscon mineral show.By leading this organization I have efficiently been able to talk to the community about our mission, and instruct the members to lead.

This appointed council through the College of Science promotes diversity and inclusivity on the LSU campus, specifically in the College of Science. We encourage other students to get involved in the College of Science, and motivate other students to get involved in Undergraduate Research and on-campus academic clubs. By serving on this council we were the liaison between underrepresented students in the College and the administrators. This organization gave me the organizational skills to lead other organizations, and assist with my own research.

As a College of Science Ambassador, I work with a team of other science majors to recruit incoming freshmen and guide them through their first year of college. We present our work in our respective departments, give tours to 50 plus groups, and advise on orientation. This organization has prepared me to write efficiently, and connect with prospective students via email. By communicating via email I have effectively lead other ambassadors while not hvaing face to face contact.

I have been a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, Gamma Zeta Chapter, since the Fall of 2017. I have served on multiple commitees and been on the Nomination Committee representative for my class for the past two years. Through this sorority, I have been opened open to the Louisiana School for the Visually impaired. Volunteering weekly at the school and walking visually impaired students on the LSU campus. One passion of mine through my sorority is helping/advising the visually impaired students at LSU, and advocate for better resources for LSU.

Every summer I have ventured to Long Beach Island, New Jersey and since 2016 I have been a lifeguard on the Atlantic coast. I have been Emergency Medical Response certified and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certified. In the summer of 2019, I was lucky enough to be a Lifeguard in Training Instructor. By during this time I worked with a team to instruct 10-15-year-olds how to be an open water lifeguard. This organization has taught me the importance of communicating effectively to my peers, and how to be a role model for younger students. I have also worked as teaching our Ocean Lifeguard in Training Bootcamp, Emergency Medical Responder, and CPR course. I also had time in other leadership roles filling in as Lieutenant and Captain of other patrols.
I also ran our social media page (@lbtbp_lifeguardintraining). I grew this page from the start to now over 500 followers.
